The power of Ashcreek Ranch Academy lies in our ability to teach and transform through actions, not just words. Our setting guarantees that young men don’t just “float through” therapy once they’ve learned the right things to say. They must apply themselves here, physically and mentally.
We have a hard day of rewarding work, whether at the ranch, with the horses, or in the academic setting.
To be clear, we are not a boot camp for boys with mindless, repetitive drills. Far from it, in fact. Our working ranch is comprised of an exceptional natural horsemanship program that fully engages teens in the experience of a successful operation. The boys wean foals, care for the horses, and learn complex training and riding techniques – even boys who have never even been on a horse.
This experience will create solid, lasting change for your son. It may even ignite a passion or purpose he never knew existed.
Combined with accredited academics and evidence-based therapy, our program demands full participation from our students. There is no coasting by.
The goal of our ranching and equine therapy is not to create future ranchers, but rather, we use this experiential environment to show our students how to work hard, be respectful, and be accountable. We don’t have therapeutic “activities” meant to recreate real-world situations or teach real-life skills. We do. We act. Therefore, we learn and reinforce invaluable life skills.
In our experience, young men learn by doing. At Ashcreek Ranch Academy, boys become capable young men.
Therein lies our success and distinction.
