Family involvement at Ashcreek is paramount. We want to make sure parents are a major part of the healing process. We encourage calls and check-ins from parents, but more important than putting this all on the parents we structure our program to make participation simple.
While at our program Parents are a focus point
We offer weekly phone calls with you and your son. Weekly phone calls give us a chance to keep you involved and help your son understand the importance of family.
You can visit often. If your schedule permits you have the option to see your son every month. This is unique in that we structure out program to allow parents to be on campus and interact with staff and their child on a regular basis.
Personal email. You can communicate with your son without monitoring or filtering. Most programs fear this direct communication but we encourage the one on one interaction, it helps to reestablish trust and rebuild the relationship between you and your son.
We offer a different family workshop every two months. In this two day seminar we give you a chance to meet with y our son’s therapists and go over progress. These sessions allow us to share insight and improvement. We go over where your son was when he entered our program and how he is starting to show progress.
We offer trainings in this workshop for parents to learn how to work with your child once they transition home. You get a chance to spend time with your son and reestablish a relationship of trust and respect.
The focus of everything we do at Ashcreek is on that transition home, where your son returns to their home environment. This is discussed in the Family Workshops and we help set your up for success. From advice and pointers, to receiving contact information so we can help you long after you have left our program. We are focused on getting your son home.
