Boyd has a Master’s degree in Education, an administrative endorsement, and his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physical Education from Southern Utah University. Boyd began his teaching career in 1991 and has extensive experience in teaching mathematics and coaching athletics at both the high school and middle school levels. Boyd was also a high school athletic director. He has also developed curriculum at both the school and district levels.
As the principal at Ashcreek Academy, Boyd fosters a welcoming learning environment, where students can build confidence in their educational skills and achieve the best outcomes. He encourages his teachers and staff to develop a strong rapport with students and their family to encourage a lifelong commitment to learning.
Boyd loves being physically active, running, biking and playing all sports. He ran cross country, indoor and outdoor track for Utah State University where he set school and PAC records. He coaches track and football for the local high school and his teams have numerous Utah High School region and state championships. Boyd and his wife have six children.
Kevin is one of six children (4 boys, 2 girls). As a child, he lived all over the west in almost every state as his father’s job moved the family about frequently. Kevin graduated from high school in a small town near Boise. After a semester of college in Rexburg, he served an LDS mission to Colombia. When he returned, Kevin moved to Provo and enrolled at BYU, married Amby Withrow of Corvallis (OR) and graduated in 1988. Kevin and Amby have two daughters and have enjoyed spending time with relatives in Oregon, Idaho, and California. Kevin’s first fifteen years of teaching and coaching were spent in the Alpine School District, in northern Utah, where he taught at several schools at both the junior high and high school levels. When he graduated from the University of Utah in 2003 with his Master’s Degree, he moved to Winnemucca (NV) where he began his administrative career. A few years later, Kevin moved his family to southern Utah and and continued working at Canyon View HS, Hurricane HS, Hurricane Intermediate School, and Ashcreek Ranch Academy.
Shareene has spent the last 20 years working with youth. Ten of those were working in treatment facilities for troubled youth. 10 were working in the public school system as a special education teacher to mild to moderate students, creating greatness in those who were led to believe they could not succeed. She has spent several years as a life coach, helping youth and adults exist in the struggles of daily life. Due to her love for youth, she served as an advisor to the Youth City Council for two years.
Her education includes; an Associates from Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California, A Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix and currently working on her Ph.D. from Grand Canyon University. Shareene’s hobbies are writing family history books, because of her personal philosophy of “when you know your past you understand yourself.” She also enjoys hiking and spending time with family. She has three children that she adores, who are, as adults very busy in their own endeavors.
Trevor has been in the performance world his entire life. He loves music and performing and has been a professional musician most of his life. He has worked in film, television, and recording as an engineer, actor, and performer. He has been teaching music and acting for the past 15 years.
Trevor has also been a tutor in Math, English, and Science. Trevor is finishing his bachelors and teaching certificate and training at Dixie State University. As the father of six children he also has a love for children and teaching.
