Ashcreek Academy provides hands-on opportunities to develop one’s character and integrity.
Ashcreek Academy teaches students about hard work and how to improve communication. This doesn’t just happen in a classroom or on a couch in group therapy. Rather, learning and reinforcing respect is a part of every aspect of our day.
Stepping outside of their comfort zones is an important part of what we do. Trying new things, challenging old thoughts and patterns, and trusting in our relational guides to help them is all a part of the process.
Our students are working on a variety of different lessons through Experiential Therapy and Experiential Education. They are engaging in off-campus activities that involve things such as:
-Educational Field Trips
-Improved Self Worth
The power of Ashcreek Academy lies in our ability to teach and transform through actions and experiences, not just words.
Our setting guarantees that young men don’t just “float through” therapy once they’ve learned the right things to say. They must apply themselves here, physically and mentally.
Each experiential activity is led by a trained therapist who helps the boys evaluate the successes, failures, and obstacles of the activity – relating the lessons to their personal lives and relationships.
In our experience, young men learn by doing. At Ashcreek Academy, boys become capable young men.
