At Ashcreek we teach and reinforce strong values: respect, responsibility, confidence, thoughtfulness, and the honor in an honest day’s work.
These values come through in the way we approach the ranch programming, horsemanship, therapy, academics, outdoor experiences, activities, and our residential life.
Every aspect of our program, environment, and therapy revolves around our core principles and evidenced-based therapeutic methods.
Young boys become young men.
At ARA you’ll find the strength to know the true potential you hold and to know that by acknowledging not only the things we like to do, but also the things we must do.
Don’t Wait for Changes. We often hear from families that they tried other things before Ashcreek and, of course, the decision to send their to Ashcreek is a difficult one. Yet, the common refrain is often that they wish they had not waited so long to send their child to Ashcreek’s comprehensive and effective therapeutic ranch.
Respect for oneself, the horse, and others. It all starts with our young men building confidence and respect for themselves– acknowledging imperfections, learning from mistakes, and moving forward. We utilize horses, the ranch setting, and our homey residential program to reinforce the value of respect.
Accountability. Many of our students struggle to set goals and achieve them; they struggle to be responsible for their actions and to give themselves credit for their big and small successes. Ashcreek can help build accountability.
Action, Not Words. Too often people “talk the talk” but don’t “walk the walk”. At Ashcreek Ranch, we do. We act. We achieve. The experience reinforces the value of doing, not just saying.
