Living at Ashcreek Academy is an experience of enhancing character, accepting challenge, and understanding community living. We strive to help our boys become the best that they possibly can. It is for that reason that we focus on helping them develop strong character and challenge themselves, in order for them to succeed in their lives.
At Ashcreek Academy, we are committed to giving each individual that comes into our care the best treatment possible. Because of that, we have developed a therapeutic model that can be molded and catered to each individual and whatever situation they are in. We also know that treatment is more effective when the family is involved, so we focus on integrating the family into the treatment plan.
As each student works their way through our program we strive to model and build healthy relationships with them. We also strive to look at each individual that comes into our care through a trauma-informed lens so as to build effective treatment plans.
Creating an atmosphere of family in a home-like setting, the boys learn how to become part of a family-like structure where love, respect, hard work and accountability are learned through daily interaction with others.
Every aspect of the experience at Ashcreek Academy is designed to be therapeutic. From academics, to sports and outdoor activities, our clinical professionals guide work and play through experiential learning where daily experiences can be used to teach and reinforce values and lessons learned in traditional therapy.
Experiential therapy is a very important part of our program. We know that our boys have a lot to learn and work on, so we want to provide as many opportunities as we can so they can do so. We use experiential therapy to help the boys get out of the house and learn through experiencing. It is both effective and fun!
Because we are located in Southern Utah, we have so many things to choose from that we can take our boys out to do, and our skilled clinicians effectively apply those activities to what the boys are learning in therapy.
Our academic program helps our boys in a variety of ways. Our small class sizes allow us more flexibility to be able to individualize them according to our client’s needs. Whether they need to catch up on credits or rekindle their academic excitement, our academic program can help them do it.
Our teachers are not only trained in how to help the boys in each specific topic, but they know how to help the boys develop the skills they need to be successful academically after they leave.
Ashcreek Academy is a welcoming environment where struggling boys can feel comfortable to address his challenges while avoiding the “institutional” feel of a typical therapeutic program.
The home includes a large kitchen, home theater, fitness center, skateboard park, and common areas for socializing and enjoying one another’s company. This setting creates a nurturing, safe and family-like environment where our young men can feel relaxed and happy.
Ashcreek Academy has brought together a group of seasoned professionals who have extensive experience in working with struggling boys with emotional and/or behavioral health problems.
This multi-disciplinary clinical team consists of a psychiatrist and several master level licensed therapists who are skilled at helping boys overcome difficulties of life, the effects of poor decisions, and become their best selves.
Our weekday schedule combines a strong academic curriculum, quality clinical care, sports/activities, and a leading experiential/adventure therapy program to help students develop skills and confidence.
